As I wake up in beautiful Nebraska, I reflect on the first day of the trip. I am reminded of how beautiful this part of the country is and how much earth energy pours from the land.
I love the area I live in Wisconsin. Beautiful sunrises, sunsets, lovely farms surrounded by lush crops and best of all – my home, where I share my life with my favorite beings!
As we set out across the Midwest headed for Colorado, I was reminded of how pretty the state of Iowa is. Lovely rolling hills and crops of corn and soybeans as far as the eye can see. Nestled in the basin of the crops, you occasionally find a farmhouse with a pretty yard full of blooming flowers and of course, a picnic table for those family gatherings. We did pass several windmill farms – as far as we could see – a long row of windmills spinning in from the passing breath of mother earth.
As we tooled along the highway across Iowa and started to near the border of Nebraska, both me and my friend could feel the shift of energy welling up in the land. It was a remarkable feeling as we felt the change – so much so we couldn't speak for several miles after entering the state of Nebraska. Such amazing earth energy! Wow.
When we stopped for dinner at a rest stop, we were struck at the simple beauty of the land – the area was placed on the top of a hill overlooking a valley. As we munched on our salad and slice of Panera bread, we watched the puppies play as the sun was setting. We were greeted by hundreds of dragonflies as they zoomed above the land gulping swarms mosquito's (thank you!). Life is good!
